Jurie is a qualified attorney and a certified financial planner with 20 years’ experience in both the corporate and financial advisory industry.  He started his career at Sanlam as a course writer and trainer and then moved to ABSA as an advisor and manager researcher where he focused on the development of a new advisory model.

In 2011, Jurie realised his vision of an independent wealth advisory business and founded EDM. Jurie’s core belief has always been that the best advice can only be rendered by a truly independent business, where the interest of the advisor is aligned with the client.  In 2016 he joined forces with Eras Venter to start Bartizan Capital, where he is one of the 6 directors.

He is married and has 3 daughters. His favourite part-time activity is watching his daughters partake in sports.
