Johann is a seasoned independent financial advisor with over 26 years’ experience. After obtaining his Nasional diploma in marketing and operational management, he joined Sanlam as a financial advisor. After 2 years he moved to an independent brokerage for 3 years, during which he furthered his studies into the financial planning sector. In 1997 he founded Afdinity Financial Services, where he still operates as an independent financial advisor. In 2010 he was appointed as a director of Simplisiti Asset Management. In 2021 Johan joined Bartizan Capital as a director and a member of the Investment Committee.

Johann strongly believes that clients should receive independent and holistic financial planning guidance.  He values the importance of having long-term relationships with clients and building such relationships, as well as providing clients with well researched, proven solutions are at the core of his service offering. His extensive experience and training, combined with a wealth of knowledge about the functioning of the financial eco, also contribute significantly to his service offering.

Johann is married to Tania and they have twins. He loves the outdoors, reading, writing and enjoys long walks on the Melkbosstrand beach, close to home.
