Eras is a portfolio and wealth manager with more than 20 years of experience in finance. After completing his audit training in Cape Town, Eras moved to the UK where he qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant and gained experience as a Senior Financial Manager for large, listed global companies. He acted as Financial Business Partner on multi-currency, international programmes, liaising between project managers, county finance teams and group treasury departments. In 2010 he returned to South Africa to join Dup Venter at Castellum Wealth (previously D&D Management Services) as an Independent Financial Advisor, focussing on Portfolio Construction and Investment Management. In 2016 he founded Bartizan Capital with Jurie van Dyk. Eras strongly believes in the contribution that he can make to clients as an independent advisor. He believes that each client has individual needs that must be addressed on a personal level and is passionate about building long term relationships and helping clients to understand how investing in the right asset classes, over an appropriate time horizon, will help them to protect and grow their wealth to successfully achieve their investment goals.

Eras is married to Carina and has two children. Together with his family, he enjoys outdoor activities and camping. They are keen water sport enthusiasts and take part in water skiing and sailing. He loves meeting and engaging with new people.
